Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ,

First and foremost, thank you for visiting Marticville Church’s website.

Second, I am the bearer of bad news that Marticville Church is no longer holding services. In September, the congregation of Marticville Church determined that there was no longer a good faith relationship with the United Methodist denomination, due to many issues.  Because of the UMC’s apostasy, promotion of heretical preaching and allowance (by the Discipline) of multiple sins, the general disgrace that the denomination has become, and the lack of grace they were willing to extend to congregations seeking to leave the denomination due to the aforementioned, the congregation of Marticville Church determined to leave the building and all resources behind and begin a new ministry.

Some might say, “but they did offer a way out, why didn’t you go then?”

The simple answer? We were lied to. We were manipulated. We waited to see if they would act in good faith. Instead, they denied us the ability to exit in a graceful, affordable way and then closed and locked all the ways to exit the denomination. If you believe that the “Trust Clause” is a good thing and it is being used appropriately, simply look up how it has been used. Ever. It has never been used in the purpose for which it was created. It has only ever been used to force churches to do the will of the denomination.

So we left to follow Christ, determined to create a ministry not governed by politics, heavily influenced by worldly positions on scripture, and well…just denial of reality. Leaving behind a building with a generational history and all of the finances was a small price to pay to put off the millstone of the UMC.

You might even think this was done out of hate for some. You couldn’t be more wrong. Everyone, and we mean everyone who truly seeks to live in accordance with God’s will, is willing to believe in Jesus Christ, die to their sin and themselves, and wants to earnestly be a disciple, we’ve got some good news…
